Design Competition entry for new International Trade Hub for the Handicrafts & Handlooms Exports Corporation of India Ltd. (HHEC) in Chennai.

HHEC's mission to promote the handicrafts and handlooms of India is the core inspiration behind the design of the building. The concept was to create a symbolic icon not only for the local area, but for Chennai overall. The building design represents the sustainable character and the heritage of India by using traditional materials such as terracotta and bamboo to create a contemporary architectural language.
